NorrNext's Progress and Achievements in 2023
Another year has come to an end, and we have to admit 2023 was just amazing for NorrNext's activity! Looking back at everything that was done, we would like to highlight all bright moments, taking a sneak peek to sum up the progress.
NorrCompetition
- NorrCompetition 2.0.2 - ready for Joomla 5
- NorrCompetition 1.8 EOL. Grid and Carousel modules discontinued
- NorrCompetition Application for EasySocial. The version 2.0.0
- NorrCompetition Application for JomSocial. The version 2.0.0
- Smart Search package for NorrCompetition released
- Demo and playground updated
There are different maintenance releases and minor fixes that were released during the year but the most significant release is 2.0.2 which allows to install the component on Joomla 5 and work without Backward Compatibility plugin (native extension).
NorrCompetition got new translations into Belarusian and Georgian.
Other extensions
- Quantum Manager - several versions released
- Elements for ZOO updated to be compatible with Joomla 4 and ZOO 4
Payment plugins
During 2023, all existing payment plugins got updates and works natively on Joomla 5 and latest versions of e-commerce components they were created for. And plugins are PHP 8.2 ready.
We also created a new payment plugin: QuickPay for Phoca Cart.
QuickPay is a payment service provider mainly focused on Northern Europe and working with customers from the rest of the EU. It also suports additional payment methods as PayPal, Klarna (3 integrations), iDEAL, SWISH and others.
Resume
In summary, 2023 was a productive year during which we focused on adapting our existing solutions to Joomla 5 while ensuring their stability. We also worked on developing new products that are set to be released in 2024. We remain committed to creating innovative products, and 2024 promises to be a year filled with exciting new releases.
