Quantum Manager 3.3.0 — Joomla 6 Compatibility and Secure SVG Thumbnails
We’re excited to announce the release of Quantum Manager 3.3.0, a major update of our file and media manager extension for Joomla.
The wait is over — Quantum Manager now fully supports Joomla 6. This version has been carefully updated and tested to ensure smooth performance and seamless integration with the latest Joomla generation.
What’s New in 3.3.0:
- Improved. Full compatibility with Joomla 6 (no Backward Compatibility plugin required). The minimal version is Joomla 5 and later (Joomla 6 is recommended).
- Improved. Codebase refactoring. We have completely removed legacy code that was compatible only with Joomla 3, making the extension cleaner, faster, and future-ready.
- New. Extended “Images” settings.
New SVG file filtering options have been added:
- For thumbnails (administrators)
- For uploaded files (administrators)
- For uploaded files (users)
- Improved. Secure SVG preview. With the new filtering mechanisms in place, the ability to safely preview SVG images has been restored.
- Fixed. Errors with EXIF data fixed and EXIF library updated.
This update focuses on modernization, security, and long-term maintainability, ensuring that Quantum Manager remains a powerful and reliable tool for Joomla users.
