NorrNext's Progress and Achievements in 2025

Another year has come to an end, and we have to admit that 2025 was truly amazing for NorrNext’s activity. Looking back at everything that happened, we’re excited to highlight the brightest moments and share a glimpse of the progress we made throughout the year.

NorrCompetition: New Releases and Learning Resources

This year brought meaningful updates and new learning materials for NorrCompetition, making the extension even more accessible and reliable.

We released NorrCompetition 2.0.8, continuing to improve performance and stability while refining the user experience. In addition, we expanded our educational resources by publishing the “To Get Started” tutorials in German, helping more users comfortably begin their journey with NorrCompetition.

These steps strengthened both the product itself and the community around it.

Quantum Manager: Security and Stability First

Security remains a top priority for NorrNext. In 2025, we released Quantum Manager versions 3.2.1 and 2.0.5, both focused on security improvements and maintenance.

These releases ensured that users can continue managing their files with confidence, stability, and peace of mind.

Payment plugins

E-commerce growth was another major focus in 2025. We introduced new payment integrations, giving store owners more flexibility and customers more ways to pay.

NorrNext Magazine & Joomla’s 20th Birthday

One of the most inspiring initiatives of the year was the NorrNext Magazine special edition dedicated to the 20th Birthday of Joomla™.

The issue featured interviews with volunteers and community members, celebrating the people who help keep the Joomla ecosystem alive and thriving. It was an exciting and meaningful project that reminded us how strong the open-source community truly is.

Looking Ahead: Plans for 2026

While 2025 was full of achievements, we are already actively working on the future.

Our key priority is ensuring full compatibility with Joomla 6 — without requiring a backward compatibility plugin. Work is already underway for:
