Migrate NorrCompetition from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4
NorrCompetition ver. 1.x has already reached its End Of Life (EOL) in August, 2023 as well as Joomla ver. 3 whose support was dropped on the same date. If your site is running under obsolete software versions, it is time to migrate the project immediately.
As we have already announced, the support of NorrCompetition ver.1 has ended and we are focusing on developing ver.2. Since keeping the site on Joomla 3 is no longer secure (no security patches will be officially released) and no issues can be fixed and especially when Joomla 5 is coming, we strongly recommend you to migrate the old website from Joomla 3/NorrCompetition 1.8 to the next Joomla version/NorrCompetition 2.0.

What about Joomla 5?
The stable version of Joomla 5 is planned on October, 2023. And at the same time, Joomla 4 lifecycle will end on October, 2025.
We recommend performing two-step migration: Joomla 3 to ver.4 and then Joomla 4 to Joomla 5.
