Stripe and Stripe Checkout payment plugins for VirtueMart 4 released
Another day — another great news! We are thrilled to announce the release of two payment plugins - Stripe and Stripe Checkout for VirtueMart.
These Stripe plugins are compatible with the latest version of VirtueMart 4.0+ and PHP 8.3+ ready.
VirtueMart is probably the first e-commerce component for Joomla and its history begins since 1997 (26 years now!) when it was phpScript. Later script was adapted to Mambo CMS times and later migrated to Joomla. VirtueMart is the most famous e-commerce platform for Joomla and is represented at many marketplaces.
The product is still continuing its development and there is version for Joomla 4.
We could not miss such important product and have released a payment plugins which integrate VirtueMart with a very popular payment platform Stripe.
With Stripe plugin you can accept payments inside your site's checkout page without leaving the site.
With Stripe Checkout all payments are processed at the external page (payment gateway's side) which guarantees secure payment — a user sees that the transaction is being processed by Stripe inc.
And both plugins have an ability to include additional payment methods to make process the payments using local payment services which is more user friendly. Customers will choose the payment method they prefer to use in their region.
