Hi

I’m using NorrCompetition (version 2.0.9) on Joomla, but I cannot find the option to change the voting type to “Scale” for my competition. I’ve checked the competition settings, the component’s global configuration, and all available tabs (General, Contest, Contest List, Submissions, Categories, etc.), but I don’t see the “Voting Type” field anywhere.

Could you please guide me on exactly where in the admin panel I can enable “Scale” voting, and whether it needs to be set per contest or globally?

Thank you for your message! Could you please provide a bit more detail about your request regarding the "scaling" of contest voting? What exactly would you like to achieve?

In the meantime, here’s the documentation that explains the available voting settings: Contest Configuration – Voting Options

You’ll find three groups of settings there:

  • Voting Options
  • Contest Voting Options
  • Entry Voting Options

These settings allow you to configure voting according to different scenarios. Do they cover what you had in mind, or are you looking for something more specific?

Hello,

I meant that you might have different voting types, but you only have one click equals one vote. Regarding the scale, I meant that someone can vote, for example, from 1 to 9.

Ok, thanks for pointing out. Yes, that's right. NorrCompetition has a voting model allowing to perform one vote, no 1-5 or 1-9 stars voting mechanism at the moment.

It is possible to impement such improvement in the future.

Thanks for your feedback, Kris. It is important to understand what users are expecting more. We plan to release such feature this year.

At the moment we have a Grand-prix feature, especially as a jury's choice.
