The release of NorrCompetition version 1.2.0

We are pleased to announce the release of the next major version of NorrCompetition that includes several new features and bug fixes.

New Features

Comments Enhancement

We have added support for Google+ comments and integration with Komento - one of the best comment extensions for Joomla.

Moderation Enhancement

By default all contestants' entries require approval from administrator. The new approval option allows you to choose what entries to approve automatically: none (default option), new, changed or both. This option can be set up for specific for contest separately.

ACL Enhancement

New ACL actions now are available to make the process of entry submission more flexible:

• Create After Start - allows users to create & submit entries after contest has started.
• Create After Vote Start - allows users to create & submit entries after vote has started.
• Edit After Start - allows users to edit & submit entries after contest has started.
• Edit After Vote Start - allows users to edit & submit entries after vote has started.

By default these are denied, so you will need to allow them if required.

Bug Fixes

Besides the new features we have fixed several bugs found:

• Share buttons are displayed under the video
• Backlink is not hiding
• Wrong section titles in the backend
• allowSave() check is missing in some controllers
• Notifications about entries does not work
• CURL throws an error about peer certificate
