NorrNext's Progress and Achievements for 2024
Another year has come to a close, and we bid farewell to 2024! As we reflect on all that has been accomplished, we want to celebrate the standout moments and take a brief look back to capture the progress we've made.
NorrCompetition
Throughout the year, we released maintenance updates from version 2.0.3 to 2.0.7, addressing various issues identified during testing. The product is now stable and performs seamlessly on Joomla 4/5 with PHP 8.3 compatibility.
NorrCompetition is a powerful Joomla extension designed for organizing diverse voting contests. With its robust features and flexible settings available out of the box, it allows you to create unique and engaging contests on the same site, achieving remarkable results.
NorrCompetition Image Moderation plugin. This plugin introduces the ability to leverage AI for real-time image verification. Using Sightengine's API, all user-submitted images are automatically scanned for prohibited content. If inappropriate material is detected, the user is promptly alerted during upload, or the entry is saved with an unapproved status, based on the plugin's configuration.

Quantum Manager
The popular media and file manager for Joomla has received several updates, progressing from version 3.0.0 to 3.1.0. The extension is now fully compatible with Joomla 5 and operates seamlessly on PHP 8.2. To ensure smooth installation across various server configurations, the package includes the Lib_fields library. Additionally, Quantum Manager offers integration with AcyMailing for enhanced functionality.Payment plugins
We continued developing payment plugins for popular e-commerce solutions and introduced the following products for VirtueMart and Phoca Cart:
QuickPay for Phoca Cart received a significant update, now enabling payments via Klarna. Additionally, the Authorize.net plugin was updated to ensure compatibility with the latest versions of Joomla and Phoca Cart. Recognizing that many users still operate e-commerce sites on VirtueMart and Joomla 3 due to unadapted third-party extensions, we also backported the Stripe plugins to support older versions of VirtueMart and Joomla 3.
As a final highlight, we've launched a new demo site for e-commerce solutions, allowing you to explore and test payment plugins directly on the front-end. This provides a valuable opportunity to experience their functionality firsthand before making a purchase.
Other extensions
Calendar Module enables article filtering in both calendar and list views, enhancing your blog or news section and making it easier to find the content you’re looking for.
Calendar Filter is simple to configure and adds a touch of magic to content-heavy sites. It’s especially useful for websites with numerous publications and articles. The product is available as both a module and a plugin.
