#158 Cannot vote on new contests

Everybody will be able to see its contents. Do not include usernames, passwords or any other sensitive information.

Please consider we have been using NorrCompetition on this website since five years at least, updating with each new version. We're on the latest now, just installed.

How to reproduce the issue:

login then go again to the above url (the navigation is not public yet), then try voting. It shows Request Failed as you can see in the image here:

Tests performed

I tried with PHP8.2.28 and php 8.3.20, it logs nothing during the failed call to:

POST https://ponir.mit.gov.it/index.php?option=com_competition&task=participant.ajaxVote&format=json

[HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error 76ms]

Not a single line is written in the logs (but other pages log correctly with maximum + everything level to /home/ponir/public_html/administrator/logs/everything.php

 

Can you help me out please? I read the code and it seems like it should log, I found no option for the logging level in Norr Competition

Please help me figure out how to enable voting.

Thank you for being so long a NorrCompetition user. Really appreciate it!

500 Internal Server Error is PHP error and it is not logged to Joomla logs. Such errors are logged to webserver's error.log.

In the browser developer console after vote I see a strange response:

Web Page Blocked!

The page cannot be displayed. Please contact the administrator for additional information.

URL: ponir.mit.gov.it/index.php

Client IP: 194.***.***.116

Message ID: 001055210927

No sure where it comes from. May be some vote request data is prohibited and your webserver / hosting does not like it and has some kind of protection.

Can you please try to disable tracking data in the contest voting options and see will it help?
