i am still struggling to get you'r component working .
I dit installed the sample plugin, but the next stap to install the data of the samples i cannot find it, as i follow the instructions in you't guide.
Can you help me out?

I made some steps.
now i see the sample data that i have to install.
But: sep1 Failed: previous installation data found. Please delete the contests and/or fields first.
but i did not make an contest yet. Any idea where i can find the fields or contest?

Please also ensure that you removed categories and fields from the trash. To remove only is not enough.

I know trash from articles etc. but i cannot find it for this.

Hi Hans,
Go to Fields > Click on Filter Options > Trashed: 
Select items and click on Empty trash:
Repeat the same scenario with NorrCompetition categories. It is a standard Joomla's approach like it works in articles.

Then it means the trash can wasn't cleared yet and there is still a trashed item. Please read recommendations given above again and check out. Categories or Fields still have trashed item.

sorry, but every where in the fields, categories, there is no data, empty the cash also again, but still nothing to make the next step. For the sample data.

And my colleague corrected me: there is no need to clean categories. Only Fields, Contests and Entries.

i found it i deleted that before i assume. Now i get this message: An error has occurred. The details are in the log file.
is there a log file for this component?

with the help of the webhost, we finally deciede to install it all again.
And now it works.
Now finding out how it really works, to ad a new competition and so on.

I am glad the problem has been resolved. I can suppose the problem was related to a necessity to increse max_execution_time parameter on hosting's side, but logs could give more information. Anyway, it's no longer actual.
