Stripe payment plugin for Phoca Cart now supports 3D Secure

Today we have released a new version of Stripe payment plugin for Phoca Cart which includes long-awaited 3D Secure support to make payment process more secure.

What is 3D Secure?

3D Secure provides a layer of protection against fraudulent payments that is supported by most card issuers. Unlike regular card payments, 3D Secure requires cardholders to complete an additional verification step with the issuer. Your bank will ask you to verify your identity by entering an authentication code.

After 3 failed authentication attempts, your transaction will be canceled and a hold will be placed on your card, so you should contact your bank for further details.

3D Secure is a security layer protecting your business from fraud.

Phoca Cart 3.1.0 is required as a minimal version.
